Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes should reclaim his regular starting place after backup Jose Manuel Pinto was ruled out of Saturday's Spanish league match to injury.
Valdes hasn't played since a 2-2 draw with Chelsea kept Barcelona from reaching the Champions League final. Coach Pep Guardiola has preferred to give Pinto playing time as he is expected to start the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao on May 25.
Barcelona says Pinto, who has started Barcelona's cup games over the past three seasons, will miss the match at Real Betis due to a sprained right ankle.
''If he doesn't aggravate the injury, he'll be able to play the cup final,'' Guardiola said on Friday.
Valdes, a Spain international, has allowed the fewest goals this season when Barcelona surrendered its domestic crown to Real Madrid after three years.
