USA's Bedoya agrees to contract extension with Ligue 1 side Nantes

American midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has extended his contract with the French club Nantes for three seasons through 2018-19.

The 27-year-old joined Nantes in August 2013 after spells with Sweden's Orebro (2009-11), Glasgow Rangers (2011-12) and Sweden's Helsingborgs (2012-13).

Bedoya appeared in all four U.S. games at last year's World Cup, starting three.

Nantes announced his new contract on Tuesday. Bedoya also expressed his joy on his Twitter page:
