American midfielder Alejandro Bedoya is set to have a trial at Premier League club Birmingham this week.
The 23-year-old Bedoya has spent the last two years in Sweden with Orebro.
He told Orebro's website that the trial ''gives me a chance to see where I stand compared with some of the best players in the best league in the world.''
Bedoya, who will spend a few days with Birmingham later this week, has played seven times for the U.S. national team. He was on last year's preliminary 30-man World Cup roster, then was cut when it was trimmed to 23.
