Upson remains on the sidelines

West Ham will be without defender Matthew Upson for their clash with Birmingham on Saturday as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. The England defender has missed the last two games because of the complaint and it has again put paid to his chances of being involved on Saturday. Upson is joined on the sidelines by Carlton Cole (knee ligaments), Valon Behrami (knee) and Luis Jimenez (muscle strain). Young forward Zavon Hines (knee) is the latest player to join that list but midfielder Mark Noble is back in contention after missing last weekend's 4-0 defeat to Manchester United with a virus. Hammers (from): Green, Kurucz, Faubert, Da Costa, Gabbidon, Daprela, Tomkins, Ilunga, Spector, Kovac, Noble, Parker, Collison, Payne, Diamanti, Dyer, Stanislas, Franco.
