European football's governing body has praised authorities in one of Ukraine's four host cities for its preparations for the 2012 European Championship.
UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino said Wednesday there had been concerns over the slow construction of a stadium in the western city of Lviv, but said what he had seen on the latest tour has raised his optimism.
His remarks were posted on the website of Lviv's city administration.
Infantino is on two-day trip to Ukraine to check up on stadiums, airports, infrastructure, and is due to report his findings on Thursday.

UEFA in June said Ukraine's political leaders answered concerns about preparations with a strong agenda to ramp up efforts.
