UEFA says FC Twente can host Benfica in a Champions League playoff at its Grolsch Veste stadium, five weeks after two people died in a construction accident.

UEFA has approved the Dutch club's stadium in Enschede as safe for the first-leg match next Tuesday. The return is in Portugal on Aug. 24 with a place in the lucrative group stage at stake.

Twente played 90 kilometers (56 miles) away in Arnhem when it beat Romania's Vaslui 2-0 in the home leg of its third qualifying round tie.

Twente returns to its home stadium on Saturday when it hosts AZ Alkmaar in a league match.
