The Tunisian football league and other sporting events in the country will resume this weekend after being suspended because of the unrest that followed the end of the regime of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
The Tunisian sports ministry said in a statement that a minute of silence will be observed before every competition in memory of the ''martyrs'' of the Tunisian revolution, according to the TAP news agency.
Tunisia's revolution sparked pro-democracy uprisings around the Arab world. Ben Ali fled the country on Jan. 14.
