It was eventful day in the Premier League as Fulham blew a chance to pull out of the relegation zone after a 2-2 draw with Hull, while Swansea, West Brom and Spurs all won.

Stoke City 0, Tottenham 1

Danny Rose's first-half header secured Tottenham their first away win since January as they claimed a 1-0 success over ten-man Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

It was also Stoke's first home loss since January as Spurs maintained their push for a Europa League place.

The only goal of the game arrived just after the half-hour mark with Rose scoring his first-league goal since his full debut strike against Arsenal more than four-years ago.

Fulham 2, Hull City 2

Fulham threw away a 2-0 lead as Hull battled to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage to boost their own survival hopes and seriously dent Fulham's hopes of staying up.

Fulham looked to be climbing out of the bottom three as they went 2-0 up early in the second half with two goals in three minutes from substitute Ashkan Dejagah and Fernando Amorebieta.

However, Hull produced a late comeback as goals from Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long earned the visitors a valuable point and denied Fulham a crucial three-point haul.

Swansea City 4, Aston Villa 1

Swansea City edged closer to Premier League survival with a vital 4-1 win over Aston Villa at the Liberty Stadium.

Despite testing conditions in South Wales due to torrential downpours ahead of kick-off, Wilfried Bony put the hosts ahead as he raced onto Jonjo Shelvey's pin-point through ball to slot beyond the onrushing Brad Guzan.

Paul Lambert's side responded well and found themselves back on level terms through Gabriel Agbonlahor as the striker guided Marc Albrighton's inviting delivery beyond Michel Vorm.

However, just four minutes later, Shelvey put Swansea back in front with a stunning strike from range.

The midfielder brought down Ron Vlaar's poor clearance just on the edge of the center circle before spotting Guzan off his line and beating the American with an audacious effort.

Second-half substitute Pablo Hernandez then added a third when he was found unmarked by Shelvey at the back post before cutting inside to fire beyond Guzan.

Bony calmly wrapped things up from the spot in stoppage time after Marvin Emnes was clattered in the area by Nathan Baker.

West Brom 1, West Ham 0

A first-half Saido Berahino goal gave West Brom a hugely significant 1-0 win over West Ham at The Hawthorns.

West Ham started the brighter of the two teams with Andy Carroll firing in on goal after just five minutes - but his powerful effort was well stopped by Ben Foster.

After early pressure from the Hammers, the Baggies broke on the counter-attack in devastating style and after being fed through by Stephane Sessegnon, winger Morgan Amalfitano fired into the path of Saido Berahino - who hit it high into the Irons goal to make it 1-0.
