Tottenham has closed one of its stadium ticket offices after it was damaged in the rioting that swept a deprived area of north London.

The unrest followed the fatal shooting of a local man by police. The Park Lane office at the Premier League club's White Hart Lane stadium was damaged when a peaceful protest of the shooting degenerated into a rampage Saturday night.

Spurs say fans are ''strongly advised to use the telephone and Internet to purchase tickets'' instead of the southernmost office. The club said the office will be closed Monday and Tuesday, but its northern office will be open.

Tottenham opens the season at White Hart Lane on Saturday against Everton.
