A hat-trick from Tim Cahill helped the Toffees beat the Canaries at Carrow Road. The Australia midfielder had given the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead, but they came unstuck as Andrew Crofts and Andrew Surman levelled things up for the Championship side. But further goals from Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Cahill sealed the win. Fraizer Campbell continued his excellent pre-season form as his goal helped Sunderland to a 2-1 win over Leicester at Walkers Stadium. Campbell, who grabbed four goals against Hull last weekend, opened the scoring before Andy King equalised for the Foxes. Jordan Henderson's long-range strike slipped through goalkeeper Chris Weale's grasp for the winner. Stoke continued their pre-season preparations as they claimed a 2-1 win over Burnley at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium. Turkey international Tuncay Sanli had put the Potters, wearing their new away kit for the first time, in front but Graham Alexander levelled from the spot. Burnley were not level for long though as Michael Tonge's long-range goal gave them the win. Carlton Cole bagged his fourth pre-season goal as West Ham picked up a fifth straight success against Ipswich at Portman Road. Goals from David Murphy and Seb Larsson were enough to give Birmingham a 2-1 win at Derby, Gareth Roberts getting a goal back for the Rams. Earlier on Saturday, Brett Emerton and Morten Gamst Pedersen bagged the goals as Blackburn beat Sydney FC 2-1 in Australia. With 37 minutes gone Gael Givet hit a long ball which Steven N'Zonzi flicked on and Emerton controlled before firing in the opener. Half an hour later Rovers extended their lead when Junior Hoilett set up Keith Andrews whose effort was spilled by Sydney keeper Liam Reddy and Pedersen netted the loose ball. Alex Brosque pulled a goal back when he was given too much time in the area with nine minutes remaining. Scott McDonald netted twice as Middlesbrough came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with FC Union Berlin in Germany. Chinedu Ede and Karin Menyamnia had put Berlin into a two-goal lead but McDonald struck twice in the final three minutes of the first half to maintain Boro's unbeaten pre-season record. Newcastle recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 with PSV Eindhoven at St James' Park in a match which marked the one-year anniversary of the death or Sir Bobby Robson. The Dutch side had surged ahead through Ola Toivonen and Balazs Dzsudzsak, but Ryan Taylor and Leon Best ensured that honours were even at full-time. Bolton drew a blank on the first match of their mini-tour of Scotland as they were held to a goalless draw by Falkirk. Johan Elmander clipped the post for the Trotters, who were beaten 3-0 by Oldham in midweek. Wolves suffered a 3-1 defeat against Championship outfit Leeds at Elland Road. Max Gradel had given the hosts the lead only for Matt Jarvis to equalise. But the Yorkshire club were not to be denied as goals from Lloyd Sam and Bradley Johnson secured the win. There was also victory for a Liverpool XI, as they beat Skelmersdale United 3-2.
