Tigers take Zaki on loan - Report

Hull have yet to confirm Zaki's claim but the 26-year-old has been in talks with the club over the weekend as he seeks to leave Zamalek. Phil Brown admitted on Saturday that he is keen on the player but the deal was not yet done and subject to further negotiation. Earlier in the week, Zamalek claimed Stoke were in pole position to land the powerful front man but it appears Hull have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals. Zaki spent last season on-loan at Wigan and initially impressed as he shone in the first half of the campaign. His time in England was to end in acrimony though as Wigan elected not to sign him permanently at the season's conclusion, with then boss Steve Bruce branding him the most unprofessional player he had ever worked with following a series of runs-in. Hull look to be prepared to take a gamble on him though as a statement on his official website reads: "Egypt star striker Amr Zaki has moved to Hull City on loan until the rest of the season. Zaki's passed a medical test and signed for the Tigers on a five-month loan deal."
