The Baggies headed into Christmas in 11th place in the Premier League, six points clear of the drop zone on their return from the Championship. Roberto Di Matteo's men are well on course to securing their top-flight status for another year but winger Thomas has urged them not to ease up heading into the second half of the season. They visit Bolton on Boxing Day before hosting Blackburn and Manchester United and then travelling to face Fulham. And although Thomas acknowledges that Bolton have been much improved under Owen Coyle, the 27-year-old winger is in a bullish mood. "I have seen Bolton's performances and their manager has got a lot to do with the way they play," he told the club's official website. "Bolton have always been known as a long-ball, set-piece team but they are mixing up their game and it's all coming together for them. "We're not in any doubt that it's going to be a hard game, especially going to their ground. The games are coming thick and fast, and we're prepared for it. "I would be happy with seven points from the four matches over Christmas - but I'm ambitious!" During Thomas' time at Charlton between 2004 and 2008, they notoriously finished the season poorly after securing survival. The Addicks were then relegated from the Premier League in 2007 and Thomas has warned West Brom not to fall into the same trap. "If we look at where we are, we are well ahead of schedule, but we can't rest on our laurels," he added. "Complacency is the key word. "I have seen it happen so many times - like when Charlton got relegated. "When I was there, the emphasis was (reaching) 40 points. I'd see us get to 40 points and take the foot off the pedal. "It was a case of being too comfortable and it was one of the things that used to frustrate me."
