Terry backs Luiz for success

The Brazilian defender has made a big impact for the Blues since arriving from Benfica for £25million in the January transfer window. However, the 24-year-old struggled in last weekend's crunch clash against Manchester United as Sir Alex Ferguson's men all but secured the Premier League title with a 2-1 victory. Luiz was subbed at half-time with the Blues 2-0 down by manager Carlo Ancelotti, who appeared to hold the stopper responsible for Javier Hernandez's early opening goal. But despite that blip, captain Terry believes the stopper is destined for great things in West London. "David is a great lad to have around and a talent on the field," Terry said. "He will be a Chelsea legend. "He is young and likes to enjoy training but it is important the fans know that on a match day he is very serious and focused. "With his ability on the ball, he could step into midfield quite easily, but at the back he reads it so well and he has shown great confidence for his age. "He wants to learn and he wants to stay out longer in training. "He cares for the club and that has touched me quite a bit."
