Taarabt was a leading figure in helping Neil Warnock's side to the Championship title, but he has not made the expected impact since. A mooted switch Paris Saint-Germain failed to materialise over the summer, and he has since been linked with possible moves to Italy and Spain with Napoli and Malaga respectively. Now Taarabt has admitted that he is unhappy at spending time on the substitutes bench. "I want to play week in, week out," he said. "I am not happy to sit on the bench - my job is to play football. I understand I can not play every game but we play only once in a week so I need to be doing that and starting the game."
