Switzerland's Football Association says forward Innocent Emeghara has left the national training camp to travel to France for medical tests ahead of joining Lorient.
The Swiss FA says the 22-year-old Emeghara left at 1 a.m. and was being flown by private jet to Brittany to complete the transfer after his club Grasshoppers asked for permission to release him from the national squad.
Emeghara is top scorer in the Swiss League this season with five goals in seven matches for the Zurich club.
The Nigeria-born forward made his international debut in a 2-2 draw against England at Wembley in June.
