A prosecutor says Swedish national team assistant coach Marcus Allback has been cleared of involvement in a case of bribery surrounding construction projects in western Sweden.
Prosecutor Thomas Forsberg tells The Associated Press that Allback has presented viable explanations for his actions and there is no evidence to prove he committed a crime.
The investigation was launched after an investigative report by national broadcaster SVT last year suggested Allback's father was able to overcharge for city-funded construction projects in return for private favors for city officials.
Forsberg says Allback's father is still suspected of bribery and fraud, and charges are expected to be filed later this year.
