January signing Gylfi Sigurdsson helped Swansea beat struggling Blackburn 3-0 on Saturday to end a four-game losing run in the Premier League in emphatic style.
Sigurdsson opened the scoring with a curling left-foot shot in the 37th minute for his seventh goal in 14 league games since joining the Welsh club on loan from Hoffenheim.
Nathan Dyer made it 2-0 just before halftime after being set up by Danny Graham and the hosts rounded off a comfortable win in the 63rd when the ball came off Blackburn defender Scott Dann and went over the line after Sigurdsson hit the post.
The loss leaves Blackburn in deep trouble at second bottom in the standings, three points from safety with four games remaining.
Blackburn manager Steve Kean said he had wanted Gael Givet to play, but that the French defender was ''not in the right frame of mind'' to do so.
He has not featured for Rovers since his sending off against Arsenal in February, having fallen behind Grant Hanley and Scott Dann in the pecking order.
''I said (to Givet), 'We need you to play today, we need you to start today,' and he was nowhere near in the right frame of mind to do it,'' Kean said.
