Swans complete Lita deal

The Premier League newcomers had previously agreed a £1.75million fee and sealed personal terms on a three-year contract with the player, who becomes manager Brendan Rodgers' fourth signing of the summer. And Swansea fans may get the chance to see the former Reading forward in action in tonight's friendly against Celtic at the Liberty Stadium. A statement on the Swansea website read: "Swansea City are pleased to confirm they have completed the signing of striker Leroy Lita after he passed a medical today." Lita, 26, is the second striker to be added to the Swans' ranks following the capture of club record signing Danny Graham from Watford for £3.5million. He will also compete with Craig Beattie and Luke Moore for a starting role when the Welsh side open their maiden Premier League campaign at Manchester City on August 15. Swansea are also closing in on completing a deal for Newcastle winger Wayne Routledge. A fee has been agreed for the former England Under-21 international and it is understood he is likely to be confirmed as a Swansea player on Thursday, taking up a three-year deal, once he completes his own medical. But one man who has left the Liberty Stadium is Gorka Pintado. The injury-plagued Spanish striker has had the final year of his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
