However, the South Wales Evening Post reports the former England Under-21 international is on a sizeable wage on Tyneside and is thought to demanding a settlement from Newcastle before leaving. That could prove a tough hurdle for the Swans to overcome, meaning Routledge may yet remain at St James' Park.
