Stuttgart's striker Cacau will be out for at least three weeks with a torn hip muscle.
The Brazil-born Cacau, who has played for Germany and hopes to make next year's World Cup in South Africa, was injured in Stuttgart's 3-1 loss to Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday, the club said Wednesday.
Stuttgart has lost four of its last five Bundesliga games and has dropped to 13th place.
