Stunning win for Willem II

The hosts went into the game having won just once in the league all season and having conceded 14 goals in their last three games, and a familiar story looked to be developing when goals from Darryl Janmaat and Bas Dost gave the visitors a 2-0 interval lead. Bart Biemans pulled one back in the 66th minute and Arjan Swinkels levelled four minutes later, but Mika Vayrynen put Heerenveen back in front in the 73rd minute. There was still life in Willem II, though, and Jan-Arie van der Heijden equalised in the 84th minute before Maceo Rigters sealed a glorious fightback a minute from time. NAC Breda came from behind to claim a 3-2 home win over ADO Den Haag. The hosts were ahead inside four minutes thanks to Rob Penders, but Wesley Verhoek's strike and Gabor Horvath's own goal turned things around before half-time. After the break it was all NAC, though, as Robbert Schilder restored parity within two minutes before they took advantage of Christian Kum's 53rd-minute dismissal to claim a winner through substitute Csaba Feher just after the hour mark. Roda JC failed to build on last week's thumping win as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by De Graafschap. The Kerkrade club were 4-1 victors at FC Groningen last time out, and hopes were high of another three points tonight when they took the lead through Morten Skoubo. But Steve De Ridder replied after the interval to earn a point for De Graafschap. Vitesse Arnhem proved to be their own worst enemies as they conceded an own goal and two penalties in an embarrassing 6-1 defeat at Heracles Almelo. There was little sign of what was to come in an uneventful first half which saw Mark Looms put Heracles ahead after 38 minutes, but Everton made it 2-0 three minutes after the break and Mark-Jan Fledderus added a third on the hour mark. Vitesse then imploded, conceding two penalties, which Willy Overtoom converted, and an own goal from Guram Kashia, who then scored at the right end in stoppage time.
