MADRID (AP) Newly-promoted Spanish club Las Palmas has fired coach Paco Herrera after struggling following its return to the first division.
The Canary Islands team has won one match in eight rounds and sits second from bottom in La Liga.
Herrera helped Las Palmas earn promotion last season following a 13-year absence from the topflight.
He is the first coach to be fired in La Liga this season.
