The Potters will be hoping another striker in on-loan John Carew will be available to face Mick McCarthy's side. The Norway international was ineligible to face his parent club Villa but was sidelined in any case through illness. Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is a major doubt for the game. He suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury after appearing as a substitute during the weekend home draw with Fulham, after initially suffering the injury in the previous game against Everton when he came off at half-time.
