Woodgate played his first game in 15 months on Tuesday when he came on to play the last half-hour of Spurs' 1-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League. Woodgate has been dogged by groin problems since November 2009, but it was hoped he had put those behind him after featuring at the San Siro. Spurs, though, have now confirmed that the 30-year-old has suffered a fresh setback. A statement on their official website read: "Jonathan Woodgate has sustained a strain of the left adductor muscle, a scan has confirmed. "The centre-back suffered the injury after coming on as a substitute in last night's Champions League Round of 16 victory over AC Milan and will now be assessed over the coming days."
