Spain players have denied that a robbery at a hotel in the first week of the Confederations Cup was linked to a party with women from outside the team's entourage.
The Spanish soccer federation acknowledged Tuesday that six of its players were robbed at the team hotel. The federation issued a statement "categorically" denying the reports about a party with women and alcohol, calling the allegations damaging to "the honor of the players and their families and friends."
Spain defender Jordi Alba says reports in Brazilian media are "totally false."
Teammate Sergio Ramos says the reports are damaging to the reputations of the Spanish players.
