World champion Spain still leads the FIFA rankings, while 2022 World Cup host Qatar made the biggest move up the standings released Wednesday.
Spain is followed in the top five by the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil and Argentina. The only move in the top 30 was Croatia moving to No. 9 and Egypt falling to No. 10.
Just 35 friendlies played worldwide counted toward the monthly rankings. Qatar rose nine spots to No. 105 after beating Estonia in preparation for the Asian Cup it is hosting this month.
The United States is No. 18 to lead CONCACAF teams, and Australia is Asia's best at No. 26. New Zealand at No. 63 leads the Oceania confederation.
