Simpson has been chased by a number of clubs in the Championship, but a switch to the KC Stadium was always his preferred choice. The likes of Bristol City and Leeds United had shown an interest in the striker, who scored twice in three League Cup appearances during his time at Arsenal. He also undertook loan spells at Millwall, West Brom and Queens Park Rangers, and has now secured a permanent move away from Emirates Stadium. The 21-year-old becomes Tigers manager Nigel Pearson's fourth signing following the deals for Nolberto Solano, James Harper and Robert Koren. Simpson is expected to go straight into Pearson's squad for Saturday's Championship encounter at home to Watford.
