AC Milan says defender Thiago Silva will be sidelined for ''three to four weeks'' because of a thigh injury.

Thiago Silva, who had been in doubt before Saturday's 2-1 victory over Roma, left the stadium on crutches after limping out of the match in the 10th minute.

Medical tests on Sunday revealed the Brazilian has injured a muscle in his right thigh.

Thiago Silva is set to miss both legs of the Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona, as well as the Serie A matches against Catania, Fiorentina, Chievo Verona, Genoa and Bologna.
