The classy playmaker has enjoyed a fine start to the season with City and is establishing himself as one of the top performers in the Premier League. However, Silva continues to struggle to establish himself as a regular in Del Bosque's starting XI and he believes the Spain coach does not have any confidence in him. "I think that I am only a stand-in actor," Silva told AS. "The coach does not have confidence in me. "With other coaches never have I noticed this sensation. I think my performance is positive but not sufficent for the coach. "It is not easy to start in the first eleven of Spain because of the quality of players." The 25-year-old believes he has not had the backing of Del Bosque since Spain's shock defeat to Switzerland in the 2010 World Cup, but he is determined to keep working hard to try and win his place back in the fold. "We have not spoken about this subject, but I believe I have had different treatment since the defeat against Switzerland in the opening game of the 2010 World Cup," added Silva. "I want to work very hard to maintain my level and start in the next Euro 2012 qualifier although that depends on the coach."
