The 26-year-old midfielder joins the Black Cats in a 7million euros (around £6million) switch after seeking a move away from the Ligue 1 club. His arrival comes hot on the heels of that of Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, who penned a loan deal at the Stadium of Light until the end of the season just a couple of hours earlier on Saturday. The Benin international, who could make his debut against Chelsea on Tuesday, made a total of 76 appearances for PSG, scoring eight goals. Black Cats manager Steve Bruce says he is thrilled to welcome the versatile midfielder, who can play in a variety of attacking roles, to the Premier League club. Bruce told the club's official website: "Stephane can play on the left, on the right, through the middle - he's lightning quick and he's a match-winner. "I think he'll be a big hit with the supporters. I predict he'll turn into a crowd favourite. "Stephane's a little powerhouse with a small centre of gravity, some great dribbling skills and a good shot. "His ability to slot in across attacking positions makes him a great addition to what is a young and hungry squad." Sessegnon is looking forward to linking up with Asamoah Gyan in attack, who he faced in France when the striker was playing for Rennes. The playmaker expects Ghana ace Gyan, who starred at the 2010 World Cup, and Lyon loanee John Mensah, to help him find his feet on Wearside. "I'm very happy to join Asamoah, who I know from France," said Sessegnon. "I think it's good to come into a club where I know he is here. "He has given pleasure to his country during the World Cup and to know Asamoah is here will make it easier for me to adapt. "I also know John Mensah from his time in France and the two of them will help me." Sessegnin added to Sunderland's official website: "I am very happy and glad to be here.
