The French football league says extra security measures will be put in place at the government's request for the league game between Lille and Paris Saint-Germain next month.
The match on Sept. 2 has been classified as high risk by a national police agency that combats hooliganism. That's because Lille and PSG thugs clashed violently outside of a cafe in city center of Lille before a game toward the end of last season.
The Interior Ministry has asked the LFP to ensure that no tickets go on general sale and that only PSG supporters escorted by club officials be allowed into the stadium. PSG fans who are not accompanied by officials will also not be allowed to gather near the stadium.
