Irish forward Billy Clarke was forced off just two minutes into the game, with Ishmel Demontagnac making an early appearance from the bench. But Blackpool quickly got into their stride, with Brett Ormerod forcing a fine save from Steve Book in the Tiverton goal. And Gary Taylor-Fletcher put them in front by diverting home Demontagnac's effort and Rob Edwards sealed the victory with a header 20 minutes from time.
