Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has dismissed speculation linking him with Manchester United and would be prepared to discuss a new contract at Schalke.

The Holland international has been in imperious form in the Bundesliga for Schalke this season after being a target for Russian side Rubin Kazan in the summer.

Only last month, Huntelaar was linked with a January transfer to United as part of a swap deal which would see Dimitar Berbatov head to Schalke.

However, the former Ajax ace has shrugged off rumours surrounding his future and is fully focused on impressing for his current club.

"I know nothing of alleged interest from Manchester United," Huntelaar said to Voetbal International.

"I will not even speculate, I am concentrating fully on Schalke.

"I'll let any offers come to me quietly and will then see what happens. This is the attitude I've always had.

"My contract runs until the summer of 2013. If they [Schalke] want to talk, I'll gladly listen."
