German Cup holder Schalke will open its title defense at seventh-tier club Teningen.

Amateur side Teningen was the lowest-ranked club in Saturday's draw for the cup's opening round. Matches will be played between July 29 and Aug. 1.

Bundesliga champion Borussia Dortmund will travel to third-division Sandhausen for its opening cup tie. Bayer Leverkusen, the runner-up in the league, faces Dynamo Dresden - newly promoted to the second division.

Germany's most consistently successful club, Bayern Munich, will travel to another second-division newcomer, Eintracht Braunschweig.
