Saprissa beats Seattle 2-0

Costa Rican club Saprissa defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Tuesday in a Group C of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Seattle's Leandro Gonzalez was sent off after being shown a red card in the 38th minute for a hard tackle on Jairo Arrieta. Saprissa capitalized on the man-advantage with goals from David Guzman in the 56th and Allan Aleman in the 81st.

Saprissa goalkeeper Fausto Gonzalez kept his club in the match in the 67th, stopping a penalty from Seattle's Osvaldo Alonso.

After three matches, Saprissa has six points while Seattle has lost all three of its games in Group C. Unbeaten Monterrey leads the group with nine points .
