Santos Laguna jumped to the top of the Torneo Apertura standings with an entertaining 3-2 win at home to Toluca.

Just seven minutes in, visitor Toluca was ahead when Antonio Naelson found a way past Oswaldo Sanchez. Two minutes later though they had defender Francisco Gamboa sent off and only the dismissal of Santos' Felipe Baloy evened up the numbers.

Santos roared back though as Oribe Peralta struck in the 28th and 43rd minutes to turn the game around. Isaac Brizuela levelled five minutes into the second half but Christian Suarez smashed the injury-time winner.

Chivas Guadalajara are up to third following a 5-2 win at home to Tecos.
