Santa Cruz and Villar out of Paraguay squad

Real Betis striker Roque Santa Cruz and Estudiantes goalkeeper Justo Villar have been left out of Paraguay's squad for World Cup qualifying matches against Ecuador and Chile next week.
Santa Cruz, the former Bayern Munich and Manchester City player, has been bothered by a thigh problem, while Villar is to undergo an operation on his injured back.
Paraguay, which drew 1-1 at home against Uruguay in its opening qualifier last month, hosts Ecuador on Nov. 11 and travels to play Chile four days later.
Paraguay reached the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup and lost the final of the Copa America 3-0 to Uruguay earlier this year.
