Saints wait for Brittain talks

St Johnstone are waiting to speak to Richard Brittain, but have no plans to back out of a deal for the Ross County midfielder.
Brittain has agreed a pre-contract to join St Johnstone in the summer, but has recently had a change of heart about the move.
He was stretchered off during County's 2-0 defeat at Motherwell on Sunday and is awaiting the results of a scan on a potentially serious knee injury.
However, St Johnstone will not use the injury as a means to get out of the deal and chairman Steve Brown is planning talks with Brittain.
"We have acted in an honourable fashion all the way down the line and that certainly won't change," said Brown.
"I spoke with County's chairman Roy MacGregor at the last SPL meeting and I agreed to sit down with Richie.
"But until I speak to the player I can't comment on why he may have had a change of heart. I wanted all that to be left until the final game was out of the way. That was fine by Roy.
"Right now we don't know the extent of the injury Richie suffered but as far as we are concerned nothing changes. We certainly wouldn't use an injury as a get-out."
