Cristiano Ronaldo is raising the stakes for Real Madrid's match
against Barcelona by predicting that his Madrid side will not only
win the "clasico" game but will go on to take the Spanish league
title.
The two rivals are level on points with Madrid ahead on goal
difference before next Saturday's match.
Ronaldo says "we're going to win the game against Barcelona
in the (Santiago) Bernabeu and that we're also going to win the
league."
Barcelona completed a record 6-2 victory at the Bernabeu last
year on its way to the league crown.
A record 32nd league title is the last trophy available to
Madrid, which spent over ?250 million ($363 million) on players
last summer, including a record ?94 million ($131 million) on
Portugal winger Ronaldo.
