Roma has acquired Argentine striker Pablo Osvaldo in a ?15 million ($21.6 million) transfer from Spanish club Espanyol.

Roma says it has signed Osvaldo on a four-year contract worth a total of ?15.8 million ($22.8 million).

The 25-year-old Osvaldo scored 13 goals in 24 appearances with Espanyol last season and has already played in Serie A with Fiorentina and Bologna.

With Roma's new Spanish coach Luis Enrique still molding his squad, Osvaldo's arrival could pave the way for Marco Borriello's departure from Roma.
