The high-profile Serie A clash between Roma and Napoli has been moved up by one day to Oct. 18 to avoid conflicting with a scheduled protest in the capital against the construction of a high-speed rail line in northern Italy.
The match was originally scheduled to be played Saturday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. It will now be played Friday, Oct. 18 at 8:45 p.m. (1845 GMT).
Roma has won its opening seven matches and holds a two-point lead over Napoli.
Police and league officials were worried that the protest could lead to safety problems.
