Rodgers eyes six new faces

Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad as he looks to build on Swansea's impressive start to life in the Premier League. Swansea were frustrated in the summer transfer market after seeing deals for Darnell Situ and Rafik Halliche fall through because FIFA refused to grant international clearance. Rodgers is now planning ahead for January as he feels between four to six players are needed to help the squad for the rest of the campaign. "We are looking to identify targets to keep us strong," said the Swansea boss. "To give us the opportunity to stay in the league, for that I feel we need between four to six players. "We've done very well up until now with the players that we have. "But you go into the second part of the season as you get towards May, you are going to need all of your players. "I wanted to assess it through to January, the players that allowed us to arrive in this position deserved that opportunity. "That is something we will look to do and I'm sure the club want to try and solve that as well."
