City have swept almost all before them this season but had their two-point lead at the top of the Premier League wiped out as they were held 0-0 at The Hawthorns on Boxing Day. After scoring 53 goals in their opening 17 games, it was the first time City had failed to find the net in the league and the result allowed title rivals Manchester United to draw level. Mancini said: "In games when the opposing players all get around the ball, we need to improve. "Maybe in first half we were too slow in some situations. "But we had chances and maybe if we had scored the game would have been different."
