Heracles Almelo thrashed De Graafschap 4-0 in an all-Eredivisie encounter to book their place in the last eight. Willy Overtoom opened the scoring in the third minute before Purrel Frankel's own goal and Samuel Armenteros' 41st-minute strike had them 3-0 up at the break. Marko Vejinovic adding the fourth in the second half. In the night's other match, third-tier side GVVV Veenendaal beat Eerste Divisie outfit Sparta Rotterdam 5-4 on penalties after the sides were locked at 1-1 following extra-time.
