Revs beat Red Bulls 4-2 in US Open Cup

Kelyn Rowe scored twice to lead the New England Revolution over the New York Red Bulls 4-2 on Wednesday night in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup.

Dimitry Imbongo scored the winner for the Revolution in the 51st minute before Chris Tierney added a goal in the 87th for New England, which advanced to a quarterfinal matchup against D.C. United on June 26.

Fabian Espindola and Jonny Steele scored for the Red Bulls.

Rowe put the Revolution up early when he grabbed a pass from Gabe Latigue and fired a shot past goalkeeper Ryan Meara in the fourth minute. Espindola tied it in the 30th before Rowe scored again in the 37th.

Imbongo scored when he collected a long pass from Kalifa Cisse and beat Meara.
