Ireland manager Martin O'Neill has backed assistant coach Roy Keane after the former Manchester United captain was involved in an incident with a member of the public at the national team's hotel.
Details of the incident have not been disclosed, although the Football Association of Ireland said late Wednesday that Keane called the Irish police to tell them what happened.
O'Neill says Thursday "I can say that having been made aware of the facts, Roy has both my full support and the full support of the FAI and (chief executive) John Delaney."

Police and an ambulance were called to the team hotel in Dublin after the incident, but no arrest or complaint was made.
