Bayern Munich's star Arjen Robben is unlikely to play again this year.

Bayern's sports director Christian Nerlinger tells a Sunday newspaper that Robben's left hamstring injury is not healing properly and that "it will be a long time before Arjen is fit again."

Nerlinger tells Bild's Sunday edition there was fluid in Robben's muscle. Robben was injured before the World Cup but played for the Netherlands in South Africa.

Bayern says he aggravated the injury at the World Cup. First reports said Robben would be out for two months.
