France winger Eden Hazard says he turned down the opportunity to sign for Inter Milan in the offseason and would instead prefer to move to England if he left French club Lille.
Hazard said in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport that ''Inter made me an interesting offer but there wasn't clarity on the coach and I didn't know if (Wesley) Sneijder and (Samuel) Eto'o were staying,'' adding that his ''favorite league remains the Premier League because of its full stadiums and style of football.''
The 20-year-old Hazard was voted the French league's player of the year last season after scoring seven times and setting up nine goals. He made his Lille debut as a 16-year-old and signed a new contract with the club last season until 2015.
