Rennes midfielder Sylvain Marveaux will be sidelined for up to four weeks because of a right thigh injury.
Marveaux, who scored three goals this season in the French league, left the field in the 25th minute of Sunday's 3-0 home loss to Valenciennes.
Rennes said in a statement that he will be unavailable "between three and four weeks."
Rennes is in 11th place in the French league with 16 points from 11 games.
