Reja eyes repeat performance

The Italians go into the encounter at the Stadion Letzigrund in buoyant mood after Sunday's 2-1 triumph over city rivals Roma. The result was Lazio's first win at home this season and lifted the Biancoceleste to fourth in Serie A. "It was one of the best performances from my team this season," Reja said to Corriere dello Sport. "My team played intelligently and I have seen the players focused. "I am happy for the three points but especially for the performance we gave. "We showed great character, determination and heart, things you need to win a game. "Now I expect the same display in the Europa League. "We need a win to get our European campaign on track." Lazio have yet to come out triumphant in the group phase after a 2-2 draw against Vaslui which followed a 2-1 setback at Sporting Lisbon. They are level on one point with tomorrow's opponents and trail five points behind group leaders Sporting. "We need to do better in Europe if we are to progress to the next round," Reja said. "It will not be easy as Zurich also seek their first victory in the group. "We cannot take them lightly." The Swiss side began their group campaign with a 2-0 defeat at home to Sporting before holding FC Vaslui to a 2-2 result. Zurich go into the encounter on the back of Saturday's 3-1 triumph at Aarau in the Swiss Cup. The outcome eased the pressure on Zurich boss Urs Fischer, whose side have endured a dismal start to the campaign. Zurich are eighth of 10 teams in the Swiss Super League, with just 10 points from 10 games. The hosts will be without defender Raphael Koch, who serves a one-match ban. Miroslav Klose is set to lead Lazio's attack against Zurich. Klose is the club's top scorer this season, with six goals in eight appearances, including the winner against Roma. Midfielder Christian Brocchi is doubtful with a muscular injury.
